Even when I travel to the most favorite food countries like Italy and France, I will typically order a club sandwich after a late boozy night or on a jet lagged evening for room service. There’s something particularly comforting, familiar, and reassuring about a club sandwich. This is coming from someone who grew up with a classic American diner in the family and identifies deeply with the club. But somehow I think the best club sandwiches I’ve ever eaten are on foreign soil. I’d love to expand this list—so please add your favorites into the comments section (especially if they are in the USA!) and I’ll add yours to the list.
