It’s the time of year when I consider wearing socks again, and my leather-strapped watches come back into rotation. There are a key few items that always come into rotation at this time of year, and I’ve gathered them below, along with shoes, watches and grooming must-haves.

But quickly, before we get started, let me be clear that just as with my summer list, I’m not here to tell you to buy everything below—I just want to give you a sense of what some of my most beloved kit is, with the hope that reading about it might help you identify any gaps in your own arsenal. Oh, and you might notice there’s a conspicuous absence of knitwear — that’s because I view it as a category all of its own, and one I’ll be tackling in next week’s newsletter.
