We’ve been on a two week tour for A Man & His Kitchen this last month—the first full fledged book tour I’ve done. Car, Negroni and Martini were all released during “the situation”, so a tour was regrettably a no-go. Even though it can be exhausting, I’ll gladly muscle through a book tour for a bunch of reasons: I love traveling around the US, and I really like meeting and talking to all the people (including die-hard friends!) who come out to get a book signed, chat, and raise a glass. I like to hear what folks love about the books and the magazine—I always want to know what I can do to improve or add to the content—a face-to-face focus group that I sincerely enjoy!
We started in LA, then drove up to Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Marin, and Napa; from there we flew to Seattle and on to DC, then trained up to New York before flying down to Amelia Island and ending in Atlanta. We made some great discoveries, and revisited some old favorites, so I thought it would be good to share some highlights here.

Our friends Linden Pride and Natalie Hudson, who own Caffe Dante in New York, opened up Dante Beverly Hills on the rooftop of The Maybourne Hotel and generously offered to host our book party there. Their kitchen served Mom’s Meatballs and Clam Bread (both from the cookbook) along with Dante Negronis of course. We were only in town 36 hours, but since we didn’t rent a car, we walked a lot (also because Yolanda brought along her dog Prune), and made a lot of discoveries on foot. On the hunt for coffee, we found a cool new Korean cafe just outside of the
