I can’t deny that I had an exciting fun-filled summer spent zig zagging around the Eurozone with the exception of two weeks in NY between the Upper East Side and Upstate NY. There were some great stays in some killer places, some delicious food and drink–starting off with endless plates of Pata Negra in Barcelona for F1, to oysters and rose at Hotel du Cap-Eden Rock at the end, with greatest Italian hits in the middle. See below for the greatest hits.

ITA flight to Rome. I love this airline (sorry Delta)--the planes are new, the food and service are great, and they make a great Campari spritz. Plus ITA has one of my favorite lounges at the Rome airport–great coffee, Campari drinks, pizzas from a proper pizza oven. (I always opt to fly national carriers abroad–I used to be strictly Delta, but when they changed around their mileage program a couple of years ago, I jumped ship.) But I digress..I flew from Rome to Barcelona for F1 practice courtesy of H.Moser–two fun filled days jammed with fast cars, high tech watches, and Spanish ham.
Flew back to Rome. First meal at Nino, for their famous “asce” (think rare burger) pan fried in butter and sage. Gym visits to our favorite hotel in town, the Bulgari. Mornings at Genco for shaves and checking in on Roman gossip. Lunches at Lagana which has the best antipasti and a to-die-for frittata, so you’re eating as soon as you sit down. I usually only eat that, but occasionally spring for their pasta pomodoro, which is excellent.
